Learn To Write Your Own Simple Press Release: Examples

Greetings Readers, Attached I have placed for you learning needs, a copy of two press releases that have been written for specific artist ventures. The first press release was written for Lil Wayne's "I'm Still Music" tour. The second press releases was written for the debut of college sensations rap group "Chiddy Bang's" album entitled "Breakfast". The Group also appeared on Jay Leno.

The focus here is not on the artist, but on what a release entails. As you can see how the title is displayed, varies on what company you work for, but It is pretty self explanatory, and you may copy it if you need help. The main focus is, what we in the PR world define as the 5 W's. WHOWHATWHEN WHEREWHYYou must cover all these bases within the the first paragraph of your release, or you will lose the attention of whoever you are pitching to. For Lil Wayne,
Who- Lil Wayne '
What- Announces 2011 North American Tour
When- Dates Listed at the end of EVERY press releases<---REMEMBER
Where- Cities Listed With dates at the end
Why- In support of new single and album "I Am Not a Human"

These are the five essentials that your the first paragraph should cover. Everything else is secondary. The second paragraph can go more into detail of how the event is predicted to be. And what (your client) has been up to. The third paragraph can give the Bio of (your client), what they have done in the past, and what they are planning. You end every release with your contact information, which obviously is extremely important.
